Feel good factor
So what makes us feel good in life? You may think that this is an easy question to answer and for each one of us it is as individual as our personalities.
If I were to ask you what makes you happy, you would probably have no problem providing me with at least a few answers — a new car, less body fat, a higher-paying job, a lottery win.
I was to forced to think this way recently when I asked my wife why she had paid a large amount of money (in my opinion, according to my good lady) for a pair of shoes. I was given a three point answer which at the end I found very difficult to argue against:
- They look good !!! (a matter of opinion…)
- They are very comfortable (a matter of opinion…)
- They make me feel good when I wear them and therefore they make me happy!!!
So that’s my question…
What price are you prepared to pay for happiness and how long does that happiness last after your purchase? Long term attainment of a feel good factor in respect of product design is a combination of aesthetics and functionality and long after the aesthetic value fades a perfect functioning product continues to deliver a happy emotion.
So when purchasing a kitchen it would make sense that to keep the feel good factor for as long as possible. So pick a product that is guaranteed to provide a lifetime of perfect functionality and design.
The only moving parts in a kitchen are the drawers and hinges, so it is important that these products are tested and guaranteed to provide a lifetime of functionality for the furniture.
Independent testing suggests that a lifetime use for a hinge is 200,000 openings and for a drawer it’s 100,000 openings, both tests replicating 20 years of constant use
All Blum hinges, drawers and lift up systems carry a lifetime guarantee* so hopefully giving the end user a lifetime of happiness while they use their kitchen.
