CONTEMPORARY COLOUR – THE TULIP KITCHEN FROM MAKERS
If colour is your thing, then check out this pretty in pastels Tulip design from Makers. The designers collaborated closely with the architects to craft a layout that made the most of a newly extended kitchen space. Its high ceiling allowed for a streamlined, floor-to-ceiling design that maximises storage with a handmade sliding ladder to add character and function.
Lizzie Spinks, head designer says, “We were fortunate to work with a client who brought a refreshingly bold and playful approach to both colour and design. She had a clear vision for the palette, and our role was to help refine the options so they worked beautifully together.”
The sleek handleless cabinetry is painted in Mylands’ Golden Square, a sunny yellow, complemented by soft hues of pistachio and blush pink.
The open overhead shelving adds a contemporary edge while Bora appliances bring a minimal yet luxurious look.

FRANKE LAUNCHES NEW PREMIUM MYTHOS T-SHELF EVOLUTION ISLAND COOKER HOOD
Franke has expanded its premium range of kitchen hoods with the introduction of the Mythos T-Shelf Evolution. The eye-catching island hood combines exceptional extraction performance with striking architectural lines and is designed to turn the kitchen island into the real centrepiece of your cooking space – by day or night.
Measuring 160cm wide, the Mythos T-Shelf Evolution features two 80cm full light panels that provide versatile lighting. With its dimmer function, users can adjust the light intensity for task lighting during food prep and softer ambient lighting for entertaining or relaxation.
The tuneable lighting option allows the user to adjust the colour temperature from warm to cool, offering the perfect lighting for any occasion. It offers versatile 360° usability, with its user interface and lighting features strategically positioned for optimal accessibility and ease of use from any angle.
Equipped with adjustable smoke-grey glass shelves, which can be installed at three different height settings, it also offers valuable storage space for everyday essentials or displaying decorative items.
It also features Franke’s K-LINK technology, allowing the hood to interact with Mythos induction hobs. This technology automatically adjusts the hood’s suction power according to the cooking level on the hob, ensuring continuous airflow during cooking, effectively removing fumes and odours without manual intervention. The hood can be operated both via touch controls located on both sides of the hood or via a remote control for added convenience and is suitable for recirculating and ducted installations.
WESTIN UNVEILS BBQ PRO HOOD FOR OUTDOOR KITCHENS
Westin has launched the BBQ Pro Hood, a ground-breaking new addition to its standard product line-up, specifically engineered for covered, luxury outdoor kitchens.
Traditionally, extracting heat and fumes from barbecue appliances in enclosed outdoor areas has posed significant challenges. Until now, the only viable option involved remote motor systems and the elimination of on-board controls and lighting due to extreme temperatures.
The BBQ Pro Hood changes that. Now available as a ready-to-install, off-the-shelf solution, this innovative product integrates heat-resistant, tuneable lighting, durable electronics, built-in controls and high-performance motors — all engineered to withstand the intense heat levels generated by outdoor grilling equipment. These elements are brought together in a stylish body design with high-grade 316 marine grade stainless steel and it’s available in three standard sizes, 1100mm, 1400mm and 1700mm.

NOVY GOES UNDERCOVER WITH AN INVISIBLE INDUCTION HOB SEAMLESSLY INTEGRATED WITHIN A DEKTON WORKTOP
Novy, the Belgian luxury appliance brand, has collaborated with Cosentino to create The Novy Undercover, an invisible induction hob seamlessly integrated within a 20mm thick Dekton® worktop. Dekton® is a durable, heat-resistant and ultra-compact surface developed by Cosentino. This collaboration ensures a cooking surface that is scratch and stain-resistant, easy to clean and offers a visually tranquil kitchen environment.
The 390mm x 1070mm induction hob is integrated within the 20mm thick worktop material, enabling pans to sit directly on the worktop. The hob can either be situated on a kitchen island or peninsula with a depth starting at 600mm, or, alternatively, on a 600mm depth worktop above a run of base cabinetry against a wall. With a wide range of different 20mm thickness Dekton® worktops to choose from, the hob is available in two configurations that comprise three or four side-by-side 230mm or 280mm induction zones, each providing up to 3700W of power, with one or two Flexzones that can be bridged to accommodate larger pans.
There are nine power levels per zone, each with a 99-minute timer. Further functions include Automatic pot recognition, Automatic worktop temperature protection, Stop&Go pause function, Grill function (with separate grill pan), Automatic user preset and a Child Lock.
The hob comes with the Novy Controller, an intuitive wireless control equipped with both a button and a touchscreen that enables activation, adjustment of power levels per zone and personalisation of the hob that can be configured so that the cooking experience is entirely tailored to the needs of the user.
Discrete and minimalist, the Undercover is an ideal option for homeowners and designers seeking to create an invisible or camouflage kitchen aesthetic, where the major functional aspects of the kitchen are concealed to blend effortlessly with the living area. When not in use for cooking, the worktop retains its multifunctionality, serving as a space for meal preparation, dining, or home office activities.
