Something old, something new!

Designing a contemporary kitchen for an old property is always a challenge. In this 18th century cottage the challenge seemed even greater when the clients brief was to include state of the art appliances and central heating systems alongside more established products such as a Belfast sink and AGA cooker.

The design had to include an AGA cooker, Viking Gas Hob, Double Belfast sink, American Fridge Freezer, Fridge drawers, Wine coolers, Dining area, Breakfast bar and utility area.

The huge centre island houses the fridge drawers, wine coolers and breakfast bar.

The left hand side of the kitchen incorporates the cooking centre including the AGA cooker, Viking Hob, Pyrolytic Oven and Built in microwave.

The island also includes a bar sink for food preparation, the dining table at the far end takes full advantage of the glazed folding doors, bringing the outside in!

The long corridor utility disguises the state of the art central heating system and laundry appliances.

The double Belfast sink sits beneath the back window and below the high level breakfast bar in the island can be seen ‘secret storage’.

The custom made stainless steel hood and glass splash back complete the design.
