What’s hot for June in kitchens
This month we bring you all the latest launches to help with any kitchen or showroom updates this summer…
MIELE OPENS NEW EXPERIENCE CENTRE ON LONDON’S WIGMORE STREET
Premium appliance brand Miele has opened a brand-new Experience Centre at 25 Wigmore Street. Located in the heart of London’s West End, Wigmore Street is a location synonymous with kitchen design excellence.
The new 3,000 sq ft showroom provides an inspiring and immersive space where customers can explore Miele’s comprehensive range of innovative home appliances. From state-of-the-art ovens and hobs to dishwashers, washing machines, refrigeration and more, the space has been thoughtfully designed to showcase the very best of its innovative product range.
Whether customers are upgrading a single appliance, designing an entirely new kitchen or looking to get more from their existing Miele products, the Experience Centre offers tailored support and inspiration. Visitors can enjoy live cooking demonstrations led by Miele’s expert home economists, receive personalised consultations from its knowledgeable sales team and take part in a variety of classes and events designed to educate and inspire.
Among the most popular sessions is the Miele Kitchen Discovery class, which is ideal for those planning a new kitchen. It provides an overview of the entire Miele built-in range and gives attendees the chance to experience appliances in action over a three-course lunch, helping them make informed decisions about what’s right for their space and lifestyle.
For those who already own Miele products, the Miele Owners’ Masterclass is designed to help customers get the very best from their appliances. Covering essential functions, maintenance tips and advanced cooking techniques, it’s perfect for anyone wanting to elevate their home cooking.
Also on offer are Hands-On Oven and Steam Combination Masterclasses, where participants prepare and cook a series of dishes under the guidance of Miele’s home economists. These sessions are perfect for customers who are new to steam cooking or who want to build their confidence with their combi appliances. Guests leave with new skills, fresh recipe ideas and a deeper understanding of how to get the most out of their Miele oven.
In addition to in-person events, the Experience Centre also offers virtual consultations, an ideal solution for those who are unable to visit in person but still want personalised guidance from a Miele expert.

SCHMIDT BRINGS A PURPLE PALETTE & FASHION PRINT TO KITCHENS
French kitchen and interiors brand Schmidt has partnered once again with Christian Lacroix Maison to create Iris des Marais—a bold, fashion-inspired print designed to bring a distinctive, couture touch to the home.
Inspired by the wild irises that bloom in the marshlands of the Rhône, this richly expressive design blends French heritage with fashion-forward flair. The vivid floral motif is set against either a black cotton sateen or rustic white canvas, brought to life with painterly sweeps of deep purple, mocha and aquamarine—three of this season’s key interior shades.
Schmidt also offers a sophisticated purple tone for its Curve kitchen range, available in a sleek matt finish. ‘Purple is a colour with real depth,’ says Tamara Heller, marketing operations manager for Schmidt UK. ‘It can be bold and dramatic or soft and sophisticated, depending on how it’s used. In the kitchen, it adds warmth and personality, creating a space that feels both elegant and inviting. Pair with statement prints or curved cabinetry for a truly seamless, flowing design.’
