‘This design was based on the customer’s brief to create a social space that flowed, with a minimal look. The customer requested an all-white kitchen however I suggested the addition of the dark wood Panga doors to add some warmth to the space’.

September always feels optimistic, shiny and new. It has the cheerfulness of a new pencil case, shiny new school shoes and a host of must-have (but in the event, never-used) stationery, without the gloom that accompanies January as the other ‘new start’ time of year. So, dusting off my compass and protractor I’m now getting back into the full-scale swing of kitchen planning, which was momentarily in pause position whilst we waded through the summer holidays.

The story: The owner wanted a contemporary and fresh looking kitchen, with a touch of minimalist simplicity whilst at the same time, avoiding an over-clinical look. She also wanted to make the room feel as big as possible, which we agreed could be achieved with wide drawers and cupboards.
