Autumn Kitchen Updates

By

It may have been a year to remember for so many reasons, but nothing takes away that September ‘back to school’ feeling, no matter how old you are and what path you’re on. With this in mind we thought we’d share some of the latest launches to give your kitchen a fresh new flavour for the wet and windy months ahead…

SMEG LAUNCHES VIVO SMART OVEN RANGE

Adding to Smeg’s diverse range of state-of-the-art kitchen tech, the VIVOscreen connected ovens combine a bigger, full-colour display with all-new graphics, innovative new functions and greater ease of use. Navigating through the new display is simple thanks to full touch vertical and horizontal scrolling and by holding down on any item for three seconds, a pop up will appear to explain its function. There’s a My Recipes section where you can store up to 64 of your own favourites and a temperature probe that monitors food’s core temperature. But the USP has to be the fact that the ovens will join the SmegConnect smart range, so it works with the app allowing you to control your cooking on the move. Watch it in all its glory here:

SCAVOLINI OFFERS SOLUTION FOR CITY LIVING

Scavolini has teamed up with international design studio Rainlight Studio and its creative director Yorgo Lykouria to create BoxLife. This smart modular concept allows one space to transform from kitchen to an office, to a dining room, to a sleeping space – all within the same footprint. The idea is to conceal day-to-day elements when they are not in use, helping the space transition from one function to the next. For example, cupboards with single or double retractable doors in the kitchen can conceal up to four appliances, an additional sliding worktop, as well as multiple shelves and drawers. A living area can be hidden behind sliding doors, plus pocket doors pull across the stacked washing machine and dryer in the laundry area. In the sleeping space, there’s a choice between a double, single or bunk beds, which can be manual or motorised and the surrounding furniture is equipped with lighting and a wardrobe with pull-out racks, rails and shelving.
