As Europe’s leading kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design show wraps up for another year, we’ve got the lowdown on some of the latest launches in the kitchen sector…
NOVY REVEALS STUNNING NEW APPLIANCES
Novy hit all the right notes with its selection of outstanding new appliances. The Novy Gas Pro for instance is a range of robust matt black cast iron gas burners that are specially developed to be directly integrated within any stone, granite, quartz or Corian worksurface without a frame, and can be installed in a number of different design configurations, from a single burner to a group of five, with sufficient space for large pots and pans. Black matt rotary controls are also directly integrated to the worksurface in front of the burners. All feature automatic ignition and flame protection.
Next, the Novy UP Power Wok is part of a collection of domino extraction hobs with five separate configurations to suit any requirement. The B rated 11cm width ventilation tower for each UP model features a unique design – it can extract cooking vapours at surface level and incorporates a directional tilting valve to purely extract from one side; perfect for use with a shallow frying pan. However, as it is also a downdraft extractor, it can rise from the surface to a height of 10cm to withdraw cooking vapours in one or both directions from taller pans that are boiling or simmering.
Novy’s MOOD108cm recirculation island hood in steel is smart, quiet, powerful and flexible with adjustable lighting intensity while the UP Power Teppan Yaki and Novy ONE PRO 78cm vented downdraft induction hob with new metal tower can be flush mounted and features an intelligent metal central ventilation tower that sits between four induction zones with automatic pan detection.
MEREWAY KITCHENS UNVEILS Q-LINE
Q-Line from Mereway Kitchens is the latest addition to the Cucina Colore collection, blending a true handleless system with a touch-to-open design. Delivering a completely new kitchen style for the high-end contemporary market, consumers can mix and match between the two modes to create a bespoke solution. With its sleek, streamlined units complemented by innovative glass and ceramic finishes, Q-Line has six new features:
- Brand new finishes – ceramic and glass
- Choice of openings – handleless and touch-to-open
- New lower plinth line – 60mm low plinth line
- Increased storage capacity – in base and tall units
- Combinations – customised options, dual profile, single profile and touch openings
- Door matrix – 4mm between all fronts
With drawer and wall units available in three widths – 1600mm, 1800mm and 2000mm – Q-Line maximises storage while the extensive range of grip profiles and plinths in brushed metal and painted options opens up endless design possibilities.
FORMICA GROUP PREVIEWS NEW AXIOM® AND PRIMA® WORKTOP COLLECTIONS
Due to launch later this year, the Axiom® range includes high-end, eye-catching designs in new colourways carefully developed based on customer feedback and key trends. These include classic oaks and grey-toned woods along with feature decors that celebrate abstract patterns and designs such as urban concretes and subtle plaster effects. All the worktops are now available with matching splashbacks while feature splashbacks in terrazzos and herringbone patterns add further choice. The Prima® collection offers a simplified choice of modern designs available with a post-formed edge and 4.1m lengths. The updated range comprises natural elements such as exotic woods and pale stones along with contemporary quartz and concretes.
FULGOR MILANO MAKES ITS UK DEBUT
Premium Italian appliance brand Fulgor Milano, which is distributed exclusively in the UK by Euroline, made its debut at the show with a selection of high-spec appliances. Among the designs on display was a 45cm Micro Combi Oven with fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish, 10 functions and a 34-litre capacity. Also on show was a 45cm built-in wine cooler with sommelier drawer and a range of additional built-in appliances.
BUSHBOARD RELAUNCHES OPTIONS LAMINATE WORKTOP RANGE
The fresh updates across the Options laminate post-formed range from Bushboard includes an array of new decors that combine practicality with quality and trend-led, hyper-realistic designs. With 38mm and 28mm Q3 profiles, the collection features natural-looking woods, on-trend stones and concretes, luxe marbles and two modern sparkle decors in eight tactile textures. The stylish new ranges – Luxurious Marbles, Industrial Details, Scandi Style, Free-Flowing Monochrome and Natural Elements – are available in both 4.1m and 3m lengths. Easy to install, Options worktops are also coated with anti-bacterial protection.
CDA INTRODUCES LATEST INNOVATIVE APPLIANCES
On the CDA stand, visitors were shown large capacity ovens with sophisticated features, premium wine coolers, refined ceiling extractors and super eco-friendly dishwashing and cooling. A brand new collection of large cavity single ovens with new features and aesthetics was unveiled with a user-friendly interface featuring black glass and crisp white lighting. The new collection also boasts updated steel accents, side lighting in the oven cavity, soft close doors, rapid pre-heating and large 77-litre cavity. There was also a new full steam oven with pre-set programmes, touch control pyrolytic oven, rotary pyrolytic model and multifunction ovens. New extraction included the Star ceiling hood while wine coolers came in 30cm and 60cm sizes.
BLUM OFFERS INNOVATION AND EASE WITH NEW PRODUCTS
The AVENTOS HK top from Blum is a new lift system that delivers enhanced convenience. With electrical opening and closing, the newly developed SERVO-DRIVE unit is small yet innovative as it’s installed close to the cabinet top panel blending easily into tall units and wall cabinets. LEGRABOX meanwhile allows you to create your own pull-out collection with unique drawer side designs with printing, embossing and special surface finishes. Meeting the demand for fully customisable designs, this innovative box system can also include a mix of materials and colours for the personal touch.
