Now that the Christmas decorations are stashed away for another year, for many of us it’s the perfect time to have a good old spring clean and a rethink about how our kitchen performed over the festive period. Consider whether your appliances coped with the extra cooking and cleaning; was there enough worktop for all that chopping and food prep and did you have plenty of space for all the extra guests? Whether you’re looking to invest in a whole new kitchen or simply need a few updates to see you through the next 12 months, here’s our pick of the latest products…

LG UNVEILS NEW DISHWASHER AT CES 2016
At CES 2016, the annual technology event which takes place in Las Vegas this month, LG Electronics will launch its most advanced dishwasher to date with TrueSteam and MultiMotion to clean dishes more thoroughly than ever while making water spots a thing of the past. In black or stainless steel, the LDT8786ST blasts the contents with a high-temperature cloud of steam to melt away residue and grease while an innovative wash arm delivers more powerful, quicker wash cycles. It also comes equipped with Smart Diagnosis to troubleshoot mechanical issues remotely.

CROWN IMPERIAL CELEBRATES 70th ANNIVERSARY
2016 is a momentous year for Crown Imperial, as this third generation family-run business celebrates its 70th year as a leading British furniture manufacturer. For those looking for a timeless classic, the Cotswood collection is an in-frame design available in 21 handpainted colours as well as a primed finish to decorate in your own preferred shade. Finishing touches include tongue and groove detail, arts and crafts style cabinets and elegant handle choices. The company has also recently launched its new Colour Explorer, an interactive online tool allowing customers to explore and mix and match colours and finishes.

If it’s just the walls that need a quick fix, how about this striking Factory II mural from Galerie? Perfect for a touch of urban chic, this paste-the-wall design is washable with good light fastness and comes as a set of nine panels, priced £538.95.

CAPLE LAUNCHES NEW SINGLE ELECTRIC OVEN
Perfect for busy kitchens on a budget, the stainless steel and black glass C2230 from Caple has a 69-litre capacity and efficient A-class energy rating. It’s easy to clean with a removable inner glass door and optional telescopic shelf for easy access and features four functions – defrost, fan heat, grill and turbo grill. It also comes with audible minute minder, double-glazed heat reflective glass door and cooling fan and is priced around £312.

CROSSWATER MAKES A SPLASH
The Cucina tap collection is a signature range of contemporary brassware from Crosswater, which will add a designer touch to any sink. There are 12 new designs in all, from the classic Belgravia with its contoured spout and white lever handles to the streamlined Kai Lever, perfect for an ultra modern look. There are also multifunctional spout options, extra tall models and a choice of a chrome or brushed steel finish. Our favourite is the Acute dual lever mixer, priced £285.

5) Crosswater

TRIO OF POWERFUL PRODUCTS FROM GORENJE
Gorenje has announced the launch of three new laundry appliances, each offering industry-leading Inverter PowerDrive technology. The efficient and environmentally-friendly inverter motor is already available on the A+++ rated W85F44P/IUK and W95F64P/IUK washing machines and will be available on the W98F65E/IUK model from January. Benefits include TotalWeight and SensoCare technologies, which use only the energy required for the weight of the laundry, as well as a PowerDrive motor that eliminates mechanical friction and wear and tear for increased wash performance and a quieter cycle.

GREY WOODGRAIN IS ON TREND FROM MEREWAY
