This month we’re feeling excited for new palettes, concept designs and Shaker styles…

TOM HOWLEY LAUNCHES SS26 PAINT COLLECTION

British bespoke kitchen brand Tom Howley has revealed its spring/summer 2026 paint collection featuring four sumptuous new shades – Pink Salt, Sandstone, Sea Smoke and Sloeberry – designed to redefine how colour is used in the kitchen. Moving beyond the long-standing dominance of neutral palettes, the launch signals a shift towards more expressive, personality-led interiors that are still timeless and enduring.

‘This collection is about moving beyond the idea that a kitchen has to be ‘safe’ to be timeless,’ says Tom Howley, Co-Founder and Creative Design Director. ‘For years, neutral palettes have dominated kitchen design. While they’re undeniably versatile, they don’t always reflect the personality of the people living in the space. These new colours are about giving clients permission to choose something they genuinely love.’

Pink Salt Soft, warm and quietly confident

A refined, design-led interpretation of pink, Pink Salt offers a subtle departure from traditional neutrals. As a muted tone, it behaves more like a warm neutral than a feminine pastel, bringing softness and warmth to contemporary and period homes alike. ‘Pink Salt is a natural starting point for anyone looking to move beyond safe interiors and inject some colour into their home,’ says Howley. ‘It’s warm, refined and assured – adding personality in a way that still feels understated.’

Sandstone Uplifting, optimistic and grounded

Sandstone reimagines yellow for modern kitchens – making it highly versatile with an organic, earthy feel. Far from overpowering, it introduces warmth and light in a way that feels perfectly placed and joyful without being overwhelming. ‘Sandstone isn’t about bold, sunny statements for the sake of it,’ explains Howley. ‘It’s about bringing happiness and optimism into a space in a way that feels grounded and timeless.’

Sea Smoke Calm, cocooning and sophisticated

A deep, atmospheric green with a teal undertone, Sea Smoke brings a sense of quiet luxury to the kitchen. Its layered, complex depth allows it to shift beautifully with changing light, creating spaces that feel both architectural by day and intimate by evening. ‘Sea Smoke is about creating atmosphere without heaviness,’ says Howley. ‘It’s a muted blue-green hue that invites you in – it feels cocooning, considered and incredibly liveable.’

Sloeberry Rich, indulgent and expressive

Sloeberry introduces depth and drama to the palette, offering a bold yet refined alternative to traditional dark cabinetry. With its rich, indulgent brownish-purple tone, it creates kitchens that feel confident, layered and full of character. ‘With Sloeberry, we wanted to explore a more moody, enveloping colour,’ notes Howley. ‘It sits somewhere between deep mauve and chocolate brown, with a warm, grounded feel rather than a vibrant purple punch. It adds drama, but in a way that still feels sophisticated and enduring.’

SCHMIDT RETURNS TO CASA DÉCOR WITH LEMON STUDIO

A European expert in bespoke kitchens and interiors, Schmidt headed to Madrid’s Casa Décor last month to take part in one of Europe’s most celebrated interior design exhibitions.

Partnering with Lemon Studio, Schmidt showcased its La Unidad, a single module that repeats and transforms until it becomes a complete, liveable architecture. This concept design flows naturally from entrance to kitchen to dressing room, where Schmidt’s made-to-measure cabinetry acts as the architectural backbone.

At the heart of the space is a sweeping kitchen that balances grandeur with warmth. Rounded cabinetry in a muted blue-grey finish wraps the perimeter, housing Gaggenau appliances and a generous honed-stone island. A spectacular antique-mirrored bar wall, clad with gold-framed glass shelving and displayed crystal, transforms the kitchen into a social centrepiece worthy of the finest Madrid residence.

THE REAL SHAKER KITCHEN BY deVOL SHOWS HOW IT’S DONE

This new project by deVOL is a perfect example of just how stunning and functional a Shaker design can be. This large space incorporates so many little areas, including a coffee bar and utility room alongside the main kitchen.

Each vignette, made with deVOL’s Shaker furniture, has its own personality and function, which shows just how versatile these humble cupboards are. The designers are experts in using unusual objects and treasured finds to give this home a unique and welcoming feel.

There’s a rather impressive selection of deVOL accessories too, doing what they do best, blending seamlessly into the finished room as if they had always been there. A gaselier over the island, brass hanging rails, pot fillers, Plumber’s Stools and a cleverly positioned Haberdasher’s Oak hanging rail, which works well with the mid-century accents around the kitchen.

Sometimes a space this big can be tricky – it can be hard to create defined areas and give the room a feeling of cohesion and warmth but here at Daws Heath, the whole place feels comfortable, functional and incredibly inviting.

WODAR INTRODUCES THE DESIGN+ PRO-PULL

Wodar has expanded its kitchen offering with the launch of the Design+ Pro-Pull, a tap that reframes what a boiling water tap can be by bringing together everyday usability with a quietly confident design.

At its core, the Design+ Pro-Pull delivers 4-in-1 functionality, providing hot, cold, filtered and instant boiling water from a single fitting – with the addition of a pull-out dual-spray feature, which introduces a level of flexibility rarely seen within this category.

Rather than treating the boiling tap as a singular, specialist fixture, Wodar has approached it as a central working element within the kitchen, one that supports everything from filling pans to rinsing vegetables and washing down the sink with ease.

Its swan spout introduces height and elegance, paired with a knurled base plate that brings a subtle tactile detail. The tap is available across Wodar’s full 4-in-1 finish offering, including aged brass, brushed brass, brushed copper, brushed nickel, chrome, dark brass, gun metal grey and matt black, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of kitchen styles.

INGLIS HALL CREATES A TIMBER-FRAMED RETREAT FOR DESIGNER JAY OSGERBY

Where does a designer of Jay Osgerby’s calibre go when they’re looking for a kitchen for their own home? Inglis Hall of course, who crafted this bespoke oak kitchen using honest materials, thoughtful design and integrated architectural cladding to create a modern rustic setting that works beautifully in its surroundings.

The Sticks is a quiet, timber-framed retreat shaped by multi-award-winning architectural practice Rural Office with an Inglis Hall kitchen at its centre. It’s a project that values restraint, material honesty and enduring craft and answers Jay’s dream for a space that is less overtly ‘kitcheny’.

Combining signature oak wall cladding, which conceals storage and appliances, with a joiner’s island, large Wolf range cooker and distinctive lighting from Gallery Kreo, this is a kitchen that looks as if it has always been there and now sits proudly in this expansive space.
